I was delighted to support Racing to School fundraising dinner in Westminster which raised over £35,000 for the charity. The APPG for Racing & Bloodstock – which I co-chair with Laurence Robertson MP – took on Racing to School as our nominated charity.

This fantastic cause delivers outdoor learning activities for young people at racecourses, studs and trainers’ yards across the country. Last year I joined them for a day long programme with young people at Haydock. They also work with young people with special educational needs and those from inner city, rural and deprived areas.

Initiatives to introduce disadvantaged young people to racing are really important to me, and I was delighted to be involved in supporting this worthy cause.
