Labour is showing bold, ambitious and decisive leadership in our call for a Green Economic Recovery that is proudly built here in Britain and the North West.

For over a decade, the Tories have made poor use of our country and region’s rich industrial knowledge and heritage, with their rhetoric on green investment rarely matching reality. Yet with the climate and jobs crisis escalating, delivering a plan to back home-grown industry, strengthen our regions, promote skills, and stimulate hundreds of thousands of jobs in manufacturing and other key sectors is now critical.

It’s high time the Tories stopped delaying – it’s time we built it in Britain.
