Conor McGinn, MP for St Helens North, has sent his congratulations to Newton and Earlestown Community Group on being awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

He said it was recognition for the incredible volunteering work done during the pandemic and in the wider community over many years.

Commenting on the formal presentation of the award, Conor said:

“I want to send my huge congratulations to Newton and Earlestown Community Group on being formally awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

“This achievement is testament to the tremendous contribution the group and all its volunteers have made to our community during the pandemic and over many years.

“I am delighted to see those efforts recognised with this, the highest of honours.”
