Our rich history: Conor attends unveiling of Red Wheel heritage plaques at Sankey Viaduct

I joined local leaders and heritage campaigners to unveil two new National Transport Trust Red Wheels at the Sankey Viaduct.

Many thanks to Barrie Pennington who has really driven this project, and to Lady McAlpine and the National Transport Trust for attending.

The plaques recognise the viaduct and our borough’s historic importance and rich industrial heritage – which we’re really proud of locally.
