I spoke during a recent debate in Parliament on foreign affairs to affirm my support for a two-state solution in Israel and Palestine built on equality, justice, opportunity and partnership – not occupation and annexation, or violence and threats.

While the international community cannot itself deliver all those things, it can help create the conditions for them through initiatives like the proposed Middle East peace fund.
