Our national, regional and local rail network is in chaos. Thousands of people who rely on trains from St Helens and stations in Garswood, Newton, Earlestown and Rainford to get to Liverpool, Manchester and further afield have seen hundreds of cancellations over the last month.
I fully support the call for reform and investment and am working closely with our Metro Mayors Steve Rotherham and Andy Burnham. We need urgent action now. The Government must intervene and get our trains running again.
