Residents in Rainford and Crank and the north west of St Helens town and borough are understandably concerned about proposals for a new hazardous waste incinerator in nearby Simonswood, on the Lancashire side of the border with Merseyside.
There are huge worries about the impact this will have on neighbouring areas like ours, and I am making these objections clear to Lancashire County Council and the Department for Local Government.
